The human story is older than the written record allows us to recall. But the written story is the one we know best and in most detail. Though admittedly, it might not be the longest or even the most pleasing story humanity has to tell. Let’s also not get ahead of ourselves and assume we know the plot, or even the outlines. We most definitely don’t. Too many gaping holes leave us guessing at the exact origins of civilization, of ourselves.
Our concepts of history and where the story leads us are extremely sensitive topics. The debate surrounding it is akin to a trench war with no clear victors in sight.
The posts below deal with this story and what to make of ourselves as storytellers and listeners around the campfire that is sometimes tended with less kosher fuel.
